Why Dress up as  Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Pinhead this Halloween?

Because the Hellraiser Pinhead is not your average, every day monster.  He’s truly a complex character.  Otherwise known as the Dark Prince of Pain, Angel of Suffering and Leviathan’s Lord of the Damned.

The story of Hellraiser’s Pinhead is this:  During World War I, a Captain in the British Expeditionary Force, Elliot Spencer saw much carnage and slaughter, particularly at the Battle of Flanders in 1914.

These horrible atrocities tormented his thoughts and led to his losing faith in God and humanity.  He wandered the world indulging in sex, opium and alcohol looking for relief.  When this failed to ease his besieged mind, he turned to the occult and Black Magic, which led to him falling deeper into sadomasochism and madness.

His transformation into Pinhead came after he opened the demonic Lament Configuration, a complex lock puzzle that he happened upon at a market in1921.
